This article is about a/an monster in Inazuman.

Hundred-Eye Banbara (ヒャクメバンバラ Hyakume Banbara?) is a Mutant Robot with a strange and eerie appearance reminiscent of the yokai Hyakume, with a red, giant single eye on its face and numerous red eyeballs covering its entire body. Appears in Inazuman.

Abilities and weaknesses[]

Hundred-Eye Banbara possesses the ability to control the minds of parasitized individuals by attaching a clone of his own eyeball, called the Evil Eyes (悪い眼 Waruime?), to their eyeballs. This power taints their hearts with malevolence, and in the story, it's expressed as "even beautiful things appear tainted by an evil heart". Leveraging this trait, he planned to gather young children with still pure and innocent hearts, turning them into psychic soldiers to serve the Mutant Empire.

He has a mean personality, such as sending brainwashed children in anticipation that Goro Watari can't fight children. Furthermore, he can hypnotize opponents by staring into their eyes for several seconds. He possesses eyes all over his body, leaving no blind spots.

Normally, Hundred-Eye Banbara worships the super-giant single eye, Mammoth Eye, camouflaged as his lair on "Hyakume Island", as his guardian deity. However, it seems that this is actually the source of his power. Losing it results in an immediate weakening and deterioration of strength, rendering him vulnerable and powerless, thus revealing a critical weakness.

History[]

Hundred-Eye Banbara killed and assumed the identity of Masao Tezuka, a teacher at Kisei Academy, a school attended by Naoki Minagawa, a member of the Youth League, and kidnapped Naoki and Katsumi Ogi before escaping. Using the power of the Evil Eyes, he sent brainwashed Katsumi to attack, attempting to ensnare his sister Satoko in its influence as well. However, his plan was thwarted when Goro Watari, who arrived just in the nick of time, intervened and prevented the attack from succeeding.

In the decisive battle with Inazuman, Hundred-Eye Banbara pretends to run away and lures him to Mammoth Eye, which he worships as a guardian deity, and plans to imprison him in the subspace that spreads inside Mammoth Eye. However, Inazuman, who had already seen through the fact that Mammoth Eye is Hundred-Eye Banbara's weakness, uses his ultimate technique, Inazuma Shinkuu Chest, to create a complete vacuum within the space. This results in a momentary pressure difference, completely destroying Mammoth Eye and causing Hundred-Eye Banbara to lose the power of his numerous eyes, significantly weakening it.

Angered by the loss of his guardian deity, he boldly challenges Inazuman as if he were the last to struggle, but Hundred-Eye Banbara, who has lost his strength, has no chance of winning, and in the end, Inazuman escapes unscathed from the Mammoth Eye's explosion, delivers the finishing blow with the Inazuma Chest technique. Hundred-Eye Banbara meets his demise, emitting white foam and melting into a gooey mess before ultimately disappearing.
