Flying at 'Ya, 3D Movie Inazuman (飛び出す立体映画 イナズマン Tobidasu Rittai Eiga Inazuman?) is a movie of Inazuman, which gained popularity through TV series. It's a stereoscopic film that incorporates the anaglyph method for the 3D screens[1].
Overview[]
It visualizes a different story from the TV series, depicting the rise of the Despar Army from the collapse of the Phantom Army. The theatrical release precedes the airing of episodes 24 and 25 by a few days, making Stone Banbara and Flame Fighter debut in the movie[1]. Additionally, aside from the protagonist Goro Watari, none of the regular characters from the TV series appear. Furthermore, a character named Missile Despar appears in the same position as Udespar in the TV version (who doesn't appear)[1].
The Toei-produced hero stereoscopic films, following Flying at 'Ya, Adventure Movie Akakage shown in July 1969 and Flying at 'Ya, Android Kikaider shown in March 1973, became the third installment. However, due to the surge in equipment costs caused by the oil crisis, production was suspended after this work. It wasn't until 1989's Kamen Rider World that another movie was produced.
During its release, the movie's promotional posters and lobby cards were created using stills from photo sessions and the TV series, with no usage of actual movie footage[2].
Story[]
Suddenly reviving, the Revived Mutant Robo Corps attacks Goro Watari. However, thanks to Inazuman's efforts and the mystery behind the missile bombardment, the Mutant Robo Corps is defeated. Meanwhile, a girl named Michiru appears before Goro and predicts the plane crash her father is on, which tragically comes true. Having abducted Michiru, Emperor Banba is defeated in a showdown with Inazuman and perishes in magma. However, Michiru's condition worsens due to her injuries. If Inazuman falls, Michiru's life will also fade away. Inazuman successfully defeats the formidable enemy, Missile Despar, sent by the new foe, the Despar Army, and saves the girl's life.
